The Beat

Ok, so I figured it was time for a little change of pace.  The Beat were an amazing power pop band (new wave to those not in the know) that came out of LA in the late 70's.  They're fronted by Paul Collins, the drummer (I think, right?) and one of the vocalists for the seminal power pop The Nerves (Hanging on the Telephone anyone?).  This is in my mind one of the greatest albums (punk, pop, any genre) to come out of LA in the late 70's.  Definitely worth checking out for a poppy good time!!
